THE ORGANISATION / CONTEXT & SCALE

About Hemas Holdings.

Hemas Holdings is a Sri Lankan listed group operating across consumer products, healthcare and mobility. Founded in 1948 as a pharmaceutical trading business in Colombo, it grew into a diversified group and listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange in 2003.

Its healthcare interests sit within a much broader enterprise spanning pharmaceutical distribution and manufacturing, hospitals and consumer businesses. The group’s published profile reports more than 4,500 employees and regional operations in Bangladesh and West Bengal, giving context to the breadth of a group-level transformation remit.

01 / THE CONTEXT

What needed to change.

A legacy corporate group needed coordinated digital transformation across very different businesses. The task was to turn broad ambition into practical roadmaps, capability and delivery within each business unit.

02 / MY RESPONSIBILITY

What I was there to own.

  • Group-wide digital transformation and business-unit execution.
  • Digital talent, capability building and transformation roadmaps.
  • Healthcare transformation across hospitals, diagnostics and related operations.
